Η πρώτη υπόθεση του Apollo Justice είναι έτσι και έτσι, νομίζω χειρότερη και απο αυτή του Justice for All και απο αυτή του Ace Attorney, αλλά μάλλον και απο αυτή του Trials and Tribulations.

When Shu Takumi was exclusively interviewed, he said that GS5 will still be on DS and it will be the last one for the series. However, it doesn't mean that there will be no new GS gamse, but rather the end of stories about Phoenix. After that, GS will become a totally new game and have nothing to do with the old series.

He also stated that GS4 was a "test" game. Thanks to the high sale record of GS4, the staff aren't worried about introducing a new story.

However, before the new game series can start, the current GS series must come to an end and GS5 will be the farewell show. GS5 will break the record of GS1's DS remake and become the longest one of the whole series. Almost all the old characters will turn up and some hidden clues in GS1234 will be looked on. Some of the cases which seem to have nothing to do with each other will show a connection. In a word, everything will become clear in GS5. What made the players even more excited, Shu Takumi revealed that the final boss of the all darkness is not a fresh face but someone we are quite familiar with! This person control all in the dark, who can he/she be?

Shu Takumi also said the most of the script has been finished and the game producing is on its way. There is also a piece of news which may let the players down: it's probably the last time that Shu Takumi will take part in writting the script for GS. From now on, other people will take over his work.[/b]

Η πρώτη υπόθεση του Apollo Justice είναι έτσι και έτσι, νομίζω χειρότερη και απο αυτή του Justice for All και απο αυτή του Ace Attorney, αλλά μάλλον και απο αυτή του Trials and Tribulations.

            Humor spoiler
            lol στη δεύτερη αποστολή του Apollo, επιστρέφει το inside joke περί ladder – step ladder για τρίτη, τέταρτη φορά;

Μερικά Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice reviews

                            http://nintendoworldreport.com/revie...fm?artid=15462
Ace Attorney fans have an almost insatiable appetite, and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney does an admirable job of quelling their hunger pains. However, since Apollo's adventure builds upon the Phoenix Wright trilogy and the original remains the best, playing the Ace Attorney series in order remains my recommendation.

                            Pros:
                            # Solid new attorney and prosecutor
                            # Intriguing and mysterious plot
                            # Updated graphics
                            # Interesting, tactful use of the touch screen

                            Cons:
                            # Same gameplay formula
                            # Less funny and slightly redundant characters
                            # DS-unique features are infrequently used

                            Graphics: 8.5
The Phoenix Wright games were more or less straight ports, sharing the GBA versions' limited color palettes. AJ even pokes fun at this by reverting to a reduced color palette during flashbacks to Wright's attorney days (spoiler). Apollo Justice introduces richer sprite artwork, especially when using Apollo's abilities of perception, although background environments are notably less interesting than in PW3. Three-dimensional models of evidence and abstract representations of murder scenes make the trials more tangible.

                            Sound: 8.0
The soundtrack is average for the series, with more of a classic Capcom vibe, and includes a mixture of new and remixed songs. Klavier's theme is pretty awesome, though.

                            Control: 9.0
The menu system continues to work as expected. Manipulating and examining evidence with the touch screen is intuitive, with a few minor exceptions.

                            Gameplay: 8.0
The game design may not be terribly new any more, but courtroom debates are still thoroughly enjoyable, and Apollo?s ability to perceive nervous twitches adds variety to cross-examinations. More elaborate use of the DS platform?s features would have been nice.

                            Lastability: 6.0
If you were to replay one of the Ace Attorney games, this would not be the best choice. The text relies more heavily on intrigue than humor to engage the player, making this game far less interesting on a second play-through. Also, at a little over twenty hours long, AJ is notably shorter than the first and third Ace Attorney games for Nintendo DS.

                            Final: 8.0
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney does not surpass the first or third Ace Attorney games, but with its revamped cast of characters and a handful of new and resurrected gameplay mechanics, this entry holds its own. I look forward to Apollo's next case. [/b]

                            http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=93761
Ιt was looking set to receive a 7 until the final chapter (of four, which is the best chapter in the series history - while still huge, it's the shortest game so far) exploded into a flurry of complicated and innovative ideas. Last-minute recovery there. It's the best chapter we've had so far.

The most important things are: it's all about Phoenix Wright, which is clearly what you want if you're a sane human being; four superb stories brilliantly interweave giving you cause to care about the new crew; and the writing is just stunning, and constantly hilarious.

See, I've been very clever. I've gone on and on about my issues with the game, without telling you anything of what actually happens. That's the joy of the Ace Attorney games - being told a story. That's the precious part, and that's the bit they get so very, very right. It's so tempting to regale you with moments, one-liners, asides, and running jokes that permeate throughout, but why ruin the moment for you?

One more thing though - if Gyakuten Saiban 5 doesn't tell me about Maya, I'm going over to Capcom's house and smearing poo on the walls.

                            8/10[/b]

                            http://www.dsfanboy.com/2008/02/28/ds-fanb...e-ace-attorney/
Controls: The DS is perfect for adventure games like Apollo Justice, since the stylus is perfect for point-and-click exploration. If the stylus isn't your cup of tea, though, you can also use the D-pad and buttons in (except during scientific experiments and item examinations). You also have the option to yell beloved phrases like "Hold it!" into the mic when the time is right; however, there's no actual word recognition. You can yell "I drink your milkshake!" or anything else you can think of, which takes some of the fun out of this feature.

Visuals: Apollo Justice is, without a doubt, the best looking game in the Ace Attorney series. Although the visuals mostly consist of the bright (and usually wacky) art from the previous games, Apollo (unlike its predecessors) includes animated CGI sequences. Not only do they look great (for the DS, of course), but they help to immerse the player in the cases and drama.

Sound: The midi compositions in this iteration are excellent and always catchy. While there will be a few familiar tunes, most of the soundtrack is completely new. For example, Apollo's "objection" theme is different than Phoenix Wright's "objection" theme. You'll find yourself maxing the volume or putting on headphones when certain songs come on, because they're just that good. The voice acting is limited to short phrases like "Gotcha!," but is still an integral part of the game, and fortunately is performed well.

Story: Each case is its own story, but there's also one overarching storyline throughout the game. The plot is completely over-the-top, but in the Ace Attorney series, that's not a bad thing. The melodrama is not only engaging, but also charming because of the quirkiness of it all. Plus, you're sure to be thrown by a few twists and surprises. Apollo Justice also includes much of the silly humor that we've come to expect from this franchise, which balances out the seriousness of the plot.

Difficulty: For the most part, you can make it through the game "easily" while still feeling challenged. That's not to say that the game is easy, though, because you have to pay close attention and use critical thinking in order to find all the clues and win your cases. There might be parts that stump you, forcing you to guess, and there might be parts that you figure out light years before the characters. No matter what the difficulty, though, it's always rewarding to show the right piece of evidence and hear the word "Objection!" coming from your DS.

Final Score: 9.0/10 -- Apollo Justice has some big shoes to fill, but fortunately, that's not a problem for the game. Those who've played the Ace Attorney series before will find this installment to be familiar, yet refreshing at the same time, while newcomers will learn why these games are so appealing. Is it the best in the series to date? That, like Ouendan vs. EBA, really only comes down to a matter of preference. At the very least, though, Apollo Justice is a very welcome addition to Capcom's line of defense attorney titles. The only major fault I could find with the game is that it had to end.[/b]

                            http://www.britishgaming.co.uk/?p=199
If you?ve played and enjoyed any of Phoenix Wright?s previous titles, Capcom has you in a legally binding contract that even Apollo couldn?t shatter; if you?ve enjoyed the series so far, you can?t just jump off because there?s a new cast. Each game adds more details and story to Phoenix Wright?s saga and Apollo Justice is no exception; the name on the box merely says which character you play, whereas the titular ?Ace Attorney? will forever refer to Phoenix Wright.
This series of courtroom adventures may have become formulaic and slightly stale, but the characters, stories and cases are far from over. Despite dropping most of the characters introduced over the first three games, Ace Attorney manages to conjure up a brand new cast of friends and foes with charming behaviours and charismatic dialogue. The stage has been set for a brand new saga in this epic judicial story, and Ace Attorney fans will be far from disappointed.

                            Rating:
                            3/4 Good
                            [/b]

                            http://portablevideogamer.com/2008/02/ds-r...e-ace-attorney/

Small differences aside, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is just about as good as its predecessors, with its overall location quality-wise being a matter of personal preference. The adventure, measuring at around 15 hours, is a joy ride for previous Ace Attorney players and newcomers alike, with a vivid and attractive presentation and style that remain true to the series. You will laugh, you will gasp, you might even cry, and it?s all in the name of justice.

                            Things we liked:
                            # Great story, characters, dialogue and presentation
                            # Graphics and animation retain quality, and the soundtrack can?t be beat
                            # An emotional, intriguing, extremely addictive journey for series veterans and newbies alike

                            Things we didn?t like:
                            # Inconsistent case quality; they are all good, but a few lack ?punch?
                            # Can?t help the feeling of needing more once the ride is over

                            Final Score: 9 / 10[/b]

                            http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars...ney-nintendo-ds
While it may not have seen as many changes as some would like, for fans of the series, AJ:AA will deliver exactly what they love: hilarious dialog, off-the-wall characters, and plenty of mystery and suspense. The new storyline also makes it perfect for newcomers, although to enjoy it fully it would be best to go back and play the entire series.

                            Verdict: Buy[/b]
