Ναι αλλα απο διαφορετικη ομαδα και σαν διαφορετικο παιχνιδι, ουδεμια επαφη δεν εχει με το cs 1.6 και το CS source στο steam, αυτο που προβληματιζει τον chris ειναι οτι το bf3 θα βγει ταυτοχρονα και στις 3 πλατφορμες, υποτιθεται πως η εκδοση για pc θα ειναι πιο προσεγμενη, ενω στο ps3/360 θα γινει ενα προχειρο port, imo καλα κανουν γιατι τα 1942 vietnam και bf2 ανεβασαν την DICE στα ματια του κοσμου, οχι το 1943 το heroes και οι λοιπες μουφες

Μοναδικο αρνητικο so far οτι δεν προτιθενται να δωσουν mod tools στο κοινο με την δικαιολογια οτι θα πρεπει να απλοποιησουν κατα πολυ τα εργαλεια για να μπορει να τα κουμανταρει ενας χομπιστας φοιτητης, τα προηγουμενα bf ειχαν πολλα mods αριστης ποιοτητας οπως : desert combat first strike forgotten hope και project reality τα οποια βοηθησαν πολυ στο να παιζονται τα 1942 bf2 και bf2142 μεχρι και σημερα, σε αντιθεση με τις κονσολες που μου αμα ενα fps δεν γραφει πανω halo / cod σε 1-2 χρονια το 80% του live το εχει ηδη ξεχασει.

Εχω καβατζωσει και το beta invite απτην tier one edition του medal of honor, το καλο που τους θελω να μην ακυρωθει η μπετα ή κανουν καποια αλλη εξυπναδα γιατι θα τους παρει ο διαολος, λεφτα χωρις να παιξω εστω και λιγο απο αυτο που ετοιμαζουν,( με τοσο hype και προωθηση απο πισω ) ΔΕΝ δινω !

Btw αλλο target group οι CSαδες αλλο οι CODαδες και αλλο οι battlefield-αδες, αυτο που προεχει ειναι δωσουν ενα σωστο παιχνιδι στην τριτη κατηγορια παιχτων που περιμενει 6 χρονια τωρα για ενα σοβαρο battlefield, το bad company 2 και το DLC vietnam δεν ητανε τπτ αλλο απο ορεκτικα - καλογυαλισμενα console ports, το κυριως πιατο ερχεται το χειμωνα

Ελπίζω να είναι αυτό που περιμένουν τόσο καιρό οι CSάδες για να αλλάξουν Game, αλλά το ότι βγαίνει και στις κονσόλες δεν είναι καλό... :S

Και το counter strike έχει βγει σε κονσόλες (xbox).

Battlefield 3 live demo impression: It’s incredible

EA and Dice are busy making sure that Battlefield 3 surpasses all previous Battlefield titles by adding in a ton of new features, but the graphics engine is going to amaze people. The first screens of Battlefield 3 are available online through various online sites, but to get them in perfect quality, be sure to purchase the latest issue of GameInformer, which should be arriving to subscribers throughout the week. Last night, information from GameInformer was revealed and it sounds quite promising. Though the visuals of the game are impressive, what you see in the magazine is nothing compared to what the game looks like in motion.
Coming off great success with the launch of Dead Space 2, Steve Papoutis, Executive Producer of Dead Space 2, viewed a live demonstration of Battlefield 3 today and it blew him away. He shared on Twitter:

“Ok just saw Battlefield 3 live in person, OMG it's incredible! Go Dice! #BF3”

He was then asked by a follower if the visuals blow away what can be seen in the magazine and his response is just as exciting.

“Yes its awesome town.”

As was revealed in the GameInformer article, Dice had the concept of Battlefield 3 done for a while, but the needs of technology weren’t there yet. As technology grew and better tools were developed, Dice finally reached the point they felt comfortable and ready to begin work on Battlefield 3. Based on initial impressions, it seems like the wait will prove to be well worth it. Battlefield 3 is being developed with the PC as the lead console and will release on the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 in late 2011.

Οι πρώτες πληροφορίες για τον νέο Battlefield 3 (pc, ps3, xbox 360), συνεχιστή του BF2 που κυκλοφόρησε το 2005:

Οι πρώτες πληροφορίες για το Battlefield 3 έκαναν την εμφάνισή τους και η DICE σκοπεύει να προσφέρει μια "ανεπανάληπτη" εμπειρία.
Σύμφωνα με την DICE το μοντέλο φυσικής, η καταστροφή του περιβάλλοντος και το animation θα φτάσουν πλέον σε νέα επίπεδα, που θα αλλάξουν τα δεδομένα των FPS.
To πρόβλημα βέβαια της DICE είναι το πώς θα καταφέρει να ισορροπήσει τις απαιτήσεις των παικτών που έχουν κονσόλα και αυτούς που έχουν PC. Από ότι φαίνεται θα δώσει έξτρα προσοχή στους μηχανισμούς του PC (έτσι), δίχως να τους κάνει όμως να μοιάζουν με τους αντίστοιχους της κονσόλας.
Το Battlefiled 3 κυκλοφορεί το ερχόμενο Φθινόπωρο και είναι στην ουσία το επίσημο sequel του Battlefield 2, άσχετα αν έχουν υπάρξει διάφορα spin-offs ενδιάμεσα.
