Robocalypse
preview

http://www.gamepro.com/nintendo/ds/games/p...ws/169208.shtml
It starts like Warcraft with each player entering a battle and crafting a Headquarters. There is a set amount of cash flow that can be used to do anything from throw up buildings, birth more troops and upgrade your current heroes. Once you're out of resources, things get dire, and you'll have to rely on straightforward strategy to get the job done...or perish. Most of your team's "expendable" robots are controlled automatically, so your job is to directly command your heroes by placing Action Flags on the field of battle with the DS stylus. The robots intelligently interact with the environment to find the fastest route from point A to point B, or click on an enemy robot to begin attacking. It's that simple.

Over 50 different brands of intelligently A.I. driven robots spout out hilariously digitized one-liners that accompany the wacky weapons alongside more than 17 single-player missions penned by the duo behind Spongebob Squarepants the cartoon. Two to four-player Wi-Fi rounds out Robocalypse scheduled for a spring 2008 release. [/b]

Πάντως η νέα αυτή δημιουργία αφήνει τις καλύτερες υποσχέσεις, μιας και το Age of Empires: The Age of Kings που είχε κυκλοφορήσει το 2006 στο DS από τη Majesco είχε αφήσει τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις.

Lock?s Quest - hands on, video

Hands-on Lock's Quest
http://ds.ign.com/articles/863/863973p1.html

It's of course still very early on in our coverage for Lock's Quest, but already the game is showing tremendous promise. The building aspects are well designed and intuitive, battle is fun and pretty dang frantic, the art style is polished and looks great in motion, and the overall mechanic is extremely unique. It's worth noting that we tried every dirty trick and bargaining chip we had to keep a copy of the game in-house, as 15 minutes simply wasn't enough to check it all out. The final version of the game boasts multi-card play as well as online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and with as much depth as there looks to be in Lock's Quest thus far you'll be seeing plenty of coverage down the line for this one. Until then, check out the first screens of the game in action in our media gallery below.[/b]

Lock's Quest combines RTS and RPG gameplay to create a very entertaining hybrid.
This game is ridiculously fun and has a very addictive quality. Days blend together deceptively well, and I can easily imagine a 10 minute session turning into a "Wow, it's 4 a.m. already?" session. I'm definitely keeping my eye on "Lock's Quest" and you should too.[/b]
