Το εξοχικό του Evans είναι στον κρατήρα του Χορτιάτη. Χτίστηκε γύρω από το Σκάκι που βρέθηκε εκεί το 1875 από ομάδα αρχαιολόγων με επί κεφαλής τη Λίνα Σακκά, πρόγονο του δικού μας Τάννο Σάκε.Comment

Να διορθώσω λίγο την ιστορική ανακρίβεια. Το θρυλικό σκάκι ήρθε στην επιφάνεια το 1852. Το 1875 βρέθηκε απλά το τελευταίο κομμάτι (η μαύρη βασίλισσα-τραβεστί) οπότε και μπήκαν τα θεμέλια, στον ίδιο τόπο, του ιστορικού μουσείου-ναού-σπιτιού του Evans-Deus (το Deus δεν είναι τυχαίο βέβαια) για να στεγάσει το πολύτιμο εύρημα της αρχαιολογικής σκαπάνης υπό τη φροντίδα της τιμημένης οικογένειας Ιπποτών-Προστατών Evandeus.Το εξοχικό του Evans είναι στον κρατήρα του Χορτιάτη.
