Κατα την δειαρκεια του Metal Gear 25th anniversary event στο Tokyo ανακοινώθηκε το νέο game του Kojima, το οποίο προς έκπληξη όλων είναι νέο Metal Gear, με τίτλο Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (
).
Το game είχε γίνει tease από τον Kojima αρκετές φορές με διαφορά screenshots κτλ ως Project Ogre. Το game περιγράφεται, από τα άτομα που είδαν το demo που παρουσιάστηκε, ως open world.

Εχουμε και λέμε, ο τίτλος είναι Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantm Pain. Ground Zeroes ονομάζεται ο πρόλογος του παιχνιδιού ,όπως το Tanker chapter στο MGS2, θα είναι πιο linear και on rails από το main game που ονομάζεται Phantom Pain, όπως τo Plant chapter στο MGS2, το οποίο διαδραματίζεται 9 χρονιά μετά το GZ, την στιγμή που ο BB ξυπνάει από κώμα.
Το Main Game θα είναι open world και θα έχει full Day and Night Cycles (ενδεικτικά τα Gifs μέσα στα spoiler tags).

To τραγούδι ειναι το Not Your Kind of People των Garbage. Βάζω τους στίχους γιατί ο ίδιος ο Kojima έγραψε στο twitter ότι έχουν σχέση με την ιστορία του τίτλου.
Το σενάριο κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα εστιάζει στην μεταμόρφωση του Big Boss από το ηρώα που ξέρουμε από τα MGS 3,PO,PW στον κακό στα Metal Gear και Metal Gear 3: Solid Snake. Και ένα από τα θέματα (ως θέμα Taboo το αναφέρει ο Kojima) θα είναι η χρησιμοποίηση child soldiers.

Ο Kojima στην αρχή της conf βγήκε με επιδέσμους στο κεφάλι ως Joakim Mogren, και καλά ο Σουηδός CEO της Moby Dick Studios.
Αν και το πιο επικ θα ήταν να έβγαινε με περούκα και μουστάκι σαν τα meme από neogaf.

The demo was shown running on a PC at specs equivalent to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game targets current generation consoles and is being built on the FOX Engine. However, specific platforms were not announced
