Παντως πρεπει να ομολογησω πως, περα απο την raw power του XOOM, στα σημεια κερδιζει το iPad2 κυριως με το εξαιρετικο iOS που κουβαλαει.

Belmont αν θες flash πάρε το Galaxy Tab 2 ή το XOOM (όταν/αν βγει εδώ, δεν ξέρω τι παίζει), δεδομένου ότι το iPad (γενικά το iOS) δεν παίζει flash. Βέβαια iPad>>* και επίσης πάρα πολλά sites υποστηρίζουν videos για iOS αποκλειστικά (με HTML5 νομίζω), οπότε... πάρε iPad να ηρεμήσεις τι λέμε τώρα . Υποκατάστατα στην ίδια τιμή, not.

Στη θέση σου θα περίμενα να δω τα καινούρια Android με Honeycomb.

Nick το XOOM στις ΗΠΑ (το πρωτο και μοναδικο αυτη την στιγμη mass market με Android 3.0) κανει 800$ χωρις πακετο συνδεσης στην Verizon και AT&T.

Οταν θα ερθει Ελλαδα περιμενουμε, εαν οχι υψηλωτερη τιμη, τουλαχιστον στα ιδια επιπεδα, οποτε πολυ δυσκολα θα δωσει καποιος αυτα τα λεφτα για αυτο το tablet (ολοι ξερουν iPad2 πλεον...).

Ναι. Παρε ενα netbook με τα μισα λεφτα που θα δωσεις σε tablet αυτη την στιγμη.

Ειδαλως εαν θελεις ΚΑΙ flash θα πας να δεις για tablet με android επανω του. Το Samsung Galaxy Tab αυτη την στιγμη παντως ειναι πανακριβο (600+ ευρω) ενω τα iPads δεν παιζουν flash.

Κύριοι θα ήθελα ένα Tablet, δεν με νοιάζει το λειτουργικό αρκεί να κάνει τα εξής απλά πραγματάκια: άνετη και γρήγορη ανάγνωση της (μεγάλης) ηλεκτρονικής μου βιβλιοθήκης (pdf κυρίως, πολύ λιγότερα djv ή tex), ανάγνωση, επεξεργασία και αποστολή email από yahoo και άλλα web based email, ένα απλό internet explorer με adobe flash και αναπαραγωγή mp3 και mkv. Από εκεί και πέρα καλό (αλλά όχι απαραίτητο) θα ήταν να έχει widescreen οθόνη και ραδιόφωνο.

Νομίζω πως δεν ζητάω κάτι το ιδιαίτερο αλλά ψάχνοντας δεν βρήκα κάτι καλό με σχετικά μεγάλη οθόνη για άνετη ανάγνωση βιβλίων ή mkv υποστήριξη. Έχει κανείς να προτείνει κάτι;

Για gaming δεν ενδιαφέρομαι στην παρούσα φάση.

Αν και καθυστερημενα:

@Somari: οτιδηποτε κουβαλαει πανω του Android 2.1 + παιζει ΚΑΝΟΝΙΚΟΤΑΤΑ τα παντα απο το market. Επισης συνηθως απο 2.2 και πανω ειναι ολες οι συσκευες με αυτοματο update.

Εαν ομως δεν εχεις παρει ακομα tablet και θες κατι σε Android, θεωρω οτι καλα θα κανεις να περιμενεις λιγο για τα νεα Galaxy Tabs της Motorola. Μιλαμε περι εκπληκτικων μηχανηματων, iPad2 και μαλακιες.

Βεβαια αναλογα και το budget που διαθετεις για ενα τετοιο μηχανημα ε...

Square Enix forms smartphone division, Hippos Lab

Square Enix is hungry, hungry for that smartphone app revenue and has created the Hippos Lab division, which is devoted entirely to the mobile sector.

The publisher recently announced the wholly-owned subsidiary, kicking off operations on March 7. There's no word yet on its grand plans or specific products for the group.

Last week, Square Enix revealed that it was looking to set up (another) large studio in Canada by 2012.

PlayStation Suite coming to Tegra 2 devices, PS1 and PS2 titles too

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play will not be the only Android phone out there that runs PlayStation games. NVIDIA announced that Tegra 2 powered smartphones and tablets will be getting the PlayStation Suite, the software platform that allows PlayStation games to run on droids.

Να παραθέσω μερικά σχετικά νέα games που δικαίως τα πάνε πολύ καλά στα charts στο app store.

Dead Space

Πολύ καλός χειρισμός, όμορφα γραφικά και ο ηχητικός τομέας με χρήση headphones συνεισφέρει τα μέγιστα στην όλη εμπειρία. Άψογη δουλειά από την ΕΑ για μία ακόμη φορά. Μάλιστα πρόσφατα το είχε σε προσφορά στα 2,39€ που αξίζουν με τα 1000 imo.

Άλλο ένα απλό στη σύλληψη παιχνίδι που αποδεικνύεται εθιστικότατο στα χνάρια των Cut the rope και angry Birds- 0.79€

Θα ποστάρω και ένα game που έχει κυκλοφορήσει εδώ και καιρό απλά μου άρεσε πάρα πολύ και θα ήθελα να επεκτείνεται σαν ιδέα με ένα sequel ακόμη και σε κονσόλα- psn ή live arcade.

2D Boy: World of Goo for iPhone 'just about finished'

“Screen size was our biggest concern,” the developer writes on its official blog, “But, against all expectations, the size of the screen was not much of an obstacle at all. After a few minutes of playing, my feeble human brain doesn’t even notice anymore.” To further compensate, the game now has pinch-zooming, “for those days when your fingers are feeling fat.”

As for technical problems, the game will only run on the latest models in Apple’s pocket-size fleet. Namely: the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the third- and fourth-generation iPod touch devices.

2D Boy won’t put a specific date on World of Goo's iPhone debut, but it's currently targeting March 2011. “We’re polishing up the last of the Goo Balls, so as soon as we can,” the developer says.

If I say the words "casual game", you probably think of something that's on Facebook. With graphics drawn by, and targeted towards, twelve year-olds. You certainly don't imagine them looking like this.


This is "A Familiar World", the first title from developers Inemeri, which is looking to bridge a little of the gap between the social/casual space (who want to pick up and play, and work together) and the more hardcore audience (who generally like it when things look nice).


While we don't exactly know what you do in the game yet - Inemeri are keeping that close to their chests - A Familiar World takes place just before a looming storm, where you must "explore this mysterious world with the help of your friends and create your own epic tale."


It'll be out in the Summer, will be free-to-play (with an in-game store for purchased) and will be available for browsers, iPad and iPhone.

Official Minecraft Coming to iPhone, iPad, Android

Rejoice miners! An official version of Minecraft is coming to the iPhone, iPad and even the Android.

Speaking with Kotaku earlier this month, Mojang's head of business development Danial Kaplan said that while the developer had discussions with third party developers, in the end they decided to "do the iOS/Android version of Minecraft inhouse."


The port is due out later this year.


This may be the first time a port of a game hits a mobile device before the game itself is done. Minecraft remains in beta, with nebulous plans for a full release perhaps later this year.

Cave porting Deathsmiles to iPhone for spring release

Along with its big Xbox 360 release announcement, shooter company Cave had some good news for iPhone fans at its event over the weekend. Deathsmiles, the flying-magical-girl shooter released on Xbox 360 last year, is coming to iPhone and iPod Touch. "From arcade to Xbox 360," the trailer reads; "and then, from Xbox 360 to iPhone."

Deathsmiles will be released in spring. Unlike packaged games, Cave can self-publish on iOS, and it's been good about localizing its games in a timely manner. So the insane shooting action in the trailer after the break need not be tinged with sadness.

Nice topic.Να ρωτήσω κάτι; Σκέφτομαι να πάρω net tablet που θα τρέχει ανδροειδές...θα μπορώ να τρέχω και παιχνίδια, ή λειτουργούν μόνο σε κάποιο συγκεκριμένο λειτουργικό που έχουν τα κινητά (ξέρω γω από κάποια έκδοση και πάνω; )

Το ίδιο λειτουργικό είναι. Ότι παίζει στα κινητά παίζει και σε αυτά.

Το πόσο καλά το παίζει φυσικά εξαρτάται από το hw. Το Archos 70 είναι μια χαρά από hw.

Στη θέση σου πάντως θα περίμενα γιατί έγιναν πολλές ανακοινώσεις για καινούρια tablet οπότε ίσως μπορείς να πάρεις κάτι καλύτερο ή κάτι φθηνότερο.
