Gabe Newell: Valve is working on singleplayer games, open to revisiting Half-Life universe


During his Reddit AMA today, Valve president Gabe Newell stated that Valve is—drum roll—developing new videogames. When it came to the inevitable question about Half-Life 3, Newell joked that "the number 3 must not be said," but also confirmed that Valve has at least one singleplayer game in the works, saying "yes" when asked if the company is developing "any fully-fledged single player games."

When asked in a different thread if Valve would ever consider revisiting the Half-Life and Portal universe in a new game, Newell answered in the affirmative. It's not Half-Life 3: Confirmed, but it is Possible Half-Life Related Game: Not Out of the Question.

Outside of that comment, Newell was as vague as usual about Half-Life. Regarding the anonymous source who said Half-Life 3 doesn't exist, he joked: "I personally believe all unidentified anonymous sources on the Internet."

Ανέλπιστα καλό fan made game, φόρος τιμής στα Ghosts n Goblins.

Το Maldita Castilla( aka Cursed Castilla αν και προτιμώ τον αυθεντικό τίτλο) μας έκανε την τιμή και κυκλοφoρεί enhanced, με αρκετό extra περιεχόμενο σε Steam, Xbox One και PS4 σαν Cursed Castilla EX. 11.99€ που δεν είναι και λίγα( αν και το game είναι πολύ δύσκολο και για τους completionists έχει πολύ απαιτητική trophy/ achiev list)αλλά σε sale μέσα στα τόσα ας το έχουμε στα υπόψιν.

Ρίξε μια ματιά στο Cast of the Seven Godsends.Το πήρα από psn 1.19 ευρώ και τώρα βλέπω είναι πάλι σε προσφορά.Πολύ δύσκολο παιχνίδι και όσον αφορά tropheis/achievements αλλά και γενικά.Θυμίζει πολύ Ghosts & Goblins.

Κάτι πρέπει να κάνουν με το σχεδιασμό/animation των χαρακτήρων κάποια στιγμή. Η αίσθηση πως είσαι στην uncanny valley συνεχίζει να είναι ιδιαίτερα έντονη όπως και στα προηγούμενα παιχνίδια της σειράς...

Ολόκληρη Arc System Works δεν μπορούσε να αποδώσει ένα μοντέρνο 2D design όπως είχε κάνει με το Hard Corps: Uprising; Ε, ρε [MENTION=21]Loggo[/MENTION] που σας χρειάζεται...

Valve is working on three full VR games, loves the PC a lot right now


As Newell said:

“When I say we’re building three games, we’re building three full games, not experiments.”

In addition, Newell claimed that Valve right now loves the PC platform a lot, which is why it will most likely stay exclusive to it.

We get really frustrated working in walled gardens,” said Newell during the media roundtable and continued.
