Στο gow 1 director ηταν ο Jaffe, στο 2 ο Barlog και στο 3 o Asmussen.
SA: What David Jaffe talked about doing was -- and I'm not sure how it would happen -- basically, you destroy Greek mythology and then Norse mythology is right around the corner. That's the next thing that Kratos would go after. It becomes clear at the end that he's going to become this harbinger of death across different mythologies in the world and maybe carry the series on from there.
Cory Barlog talked about Kratos becoming Death. He pretty much becomes the Grim Reaper at the end of the game and his blades become sickles. They're both incredibly good ideas, but you need a director to be passionate about the story and understand it intimately. If I had used Dave or Cory's idea, I wouldn't have been as passionate about it.
Jaffe then dropped the following on Twitter, as reported by Kotaku. “I assure you my story was not as simple as Kratos going after the Norse gods. There is an element of truth but it goes far beyond,” he tweeted.
He also said: “I love Cory, he rocks. But that was my idea. Blades of Chaos becomes the Scythe of the Reaper. BUT still, lots more.”

GP: While we know there are no immediate plans for the God of War series, does the immortality of Kratos allow him to continue into another series?

GP: While we know there are no immediate plans for the God of War series, does the immortality of Kratos allow him to continue into another series?
SA: Definitely -- but the way God of War 3 ends, you're not really sure whether he's alive or dead. He's such a powerful character, and people really relate to or want to relate with him for some reason. I would love to continue to work on God of War stuff, but I've said a lot now in regards to that. I feel like we need to take a breather.
That's a big reason that it was written the way it was, with Kratos killing himself at the end. That's also why we put the epilogue in the end that leaves that little bit of tension about whether he's dead or alive.
I don't know if he's dead or alive right now--maybe he is dead, and that's it. We kept the Blade of Olympus around as well, and we've got ideas of things we could do with that. Maybe there's powers contained within the Blades of Olympus; maybe there's a little piece of Kratos that's still inside there. There's a couple different tools we could use, and there's definitely room to expand on things.
If I were to bring Kratos back, I know exactly how I would want to do it. But I can't tell you. I know exactly how I would do it, and it's not anything you'd expect, guaranteed.
